Meet Our Executive Director

Shannon Clifton

Shannon Clifton brings a lot of familiarity to his new role as Executive Director at The Bridge at Columbia. He has been Director of Maintenance at the community for the past eight years.

Originally from Memphis, Shannon settled in middle Tennessee after marrying his high school sweetheart, Tina. The couple raised two daughters and a son, and they have been blessed with two grandchildren: Navy and Elias.

Shannon started seminary in his mid-20s and will soon graduate with a bachelor’s degree in theology. He has been a minister for more than 17 years.

His heart for ministry seamlessly intertwines with the deep-seated love and respect he has for the senior population. He cherishes the history and wisdom he sees reflected in their eyes, as well as their character and poise. He makes it a goal to internalize their life stories and seeks to emulate the lessons learned through his own manners and experiences.

In his free time, Shannon and his wife enjoy antiquing and traveling to quaint towns throughout Tennessee. He is also a committed Chicago Bears fan — but will always cheer for the Tennessee Titans.
